Why should I get a Brussels Airlines credit card?
- Earn Miles & More miles for every euro you spend (super markets, online purchases, fuel stations, restaurants, … 1.5 mile per euro spend)
- Your Miles & More miles never expire as long as you use the card at least once a month

How much does the Amex card cost?
The first 3 months the card is free. After the free period the card costs:
- Brussels Airlines Premium Amex card: 12.50€ per month
You can cancel the card at any time. Just keep in mind Miles & More miles expire 3 years after you have earned them if you don’t have the Brussels Airlines American Express card.
What are the pitfalls?
American Express cards have a high conversion fee (2,5%) for non-euro payments. Use your Brussels Airlines American Express cards for euro payments only. For non-euro payments, I recommend Revolut. (0% conversion fee and 200€/month of free ATM withdrawals in non-euro countries)

Hi Bart. I was wondering what the advantage was for getting the Premium over the Preferred American Express card (12.5€/month vs 10€/month), apart from the miles, and if you had a referral link for the Preferred.

Hi Mar, apart from the miles (5000 sign-up bonus versus 20000 and 1.25 miles per euro versus 1.5 miles per euro) there are no significant differences between both cards I’m aware of. I would recommend the Premium card as it’s only 2.5€ extra per month but comes with 15.000 more miles at sign-up and earns more miles per euro spend. Value of 15K miles is ~150€.

Thanks for your feedback Aaron. On which page did you see that statement? The general page indicates “Welkomstbonus van 10.000 Award Miles wanneer een totaal van van minstens 500€ is uitgegeven met de kaart binnen de 3 maanden.”

So it’s not clear what the actual promotion is…
Thanks for the details. I’ll check with AlphaCard contact which statement is correct: spend €500 or spend €1500 with the card in the first 3 months.
The 20K bonus offer now indicates “spend €1500 in the first 3 months” so updated blogpost.
