InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) includes Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Hotel Indigo and InterContinental hotels. It’s loyalty program, Priority Club Rewards, offers incredible value in terms of free nights redemptions. Points can be earned fast & easy and redeemed with no black-out dates. Even without points in your Priority Club account, there are a multitude of options to make your next stay much cheaper. I’ve already blogged about several techniques in the past. Today I want to highlight two (more or less hidden) rates for stays in Europe:
“2-for-1” (make sure to select ‘Exclusive 2 for 1’ as Rate Preference)
and “35% off” (make sure to select ‘Exclusive Prepaid A’ as Rate Preference)
I have a number of upcoming weekend stays for which I used the ‘Exclusive 2 for 1’ rate saving me up to 44% in hotel expenses.
2 night stay at Holiday Inn Bristol City Centre April 6-8
Best Available: £130.90 (€157)
Exclusive 2 for 1: £79.95 (€97)
Savings: €60 (38%)
2 night stay at InterContinental Warsaw April 27-29
Best Available: €136.08
Exclusive 2 for 1: €75.69
Savings: €60 (44%)
2 night stay at Crowne Plaza Brussels Le Palace May 4-6
Best Available: €147.94
Exclusive 2 for 1: €90.97
Savings: €57 (38%)
The “35% off” rate does not earn Priority Club points, the “2 nights for the price of 1” does. The “35% off” rate can be handy for one night stays. Note: the 2 discounted rate options might not be available for your dates of travel at the hotel of your choice. Some hotels limit availability to weekends only (Fri-Sun). Always make sure to compare these discounted rates with the other options to lower your IHG rate. There might be a better offer hidden somewhere else. Enjoy! 🙂

@M I used the 2-for-1 rate many times and never got any questions. All points posted for my 2-for-1 stays. Can’t remember using the %35 off rate, but I don’t think it will count as a stay, since no points are earned.
Hi Bart. Do you know if, with the new link for the Exclusive 2 for 1, stays still count as stays for certain promotions and/or you still earn points for these stays?

Also – the 35% off rate does not give any points, but does it count as a “stay”? This may be crucial for some promotions to work.

Great promo, those weekend breaks. Too bad it ends 31st August, seeing I won’t be staying at a IHG-hotel by then anymore. Let’s hope it’ll return?!
