IHG Rewards Club released the new PointBreaks list for stays from March 24 to May 31, 2014. You can book these hotels for just 5000 points per night as of Monday March 24. As usual, IHG Rewards Club point reservations are refundable. Make sure to make a new booking for each night (5 night stay = 5 bookings). This will allow you to shorten your stay without loosing your complete PointBreaks reservation.

Does this mean the stay needs to happen by May 31 or it just needs to be booked for travel (possibly for a date after May 31) by May 31? I don’t see specifics about this on their web page. Is it best to call in these reservations, or do they make it easy to book using 5000 points online?

I’ve been able to modify PB reservations to adjust the nights. I’d call IHG customer care if that didn’t work.
I dont really get it. Can you tell me why is best to make a diferent reservatio for each night in the same hotel?
Hi Vinicius, availability of the pointbreaks is limited. If you need to cancel your reservation (e.g. you’ll arrive a day later) you might not be able anymore to book the same hotel at 5K points per night. To avoid this kind of scenarios, you book each night as an individually.
